If something goes wrong
The procedure, with the deadlines we hold ourselves to and the places you can go if we fail to meet them.
Foundation work is disruptive, expensive and hard for a homeowner to verify from the outside, which is precisely why a complaints procedure with real deadlines matters. This is ours. Nothing in it reduces any right you hold under your agreement with the contractor or under Oklahoma law.
The procedure
Raise it on the day if you can
Tell the crew lead while the crew is still at the property. Most problems — an excavation left open, a pier not where the scope put it, damage to planting nobody flagged — are resolved fastest before anyone drives away.
Put it to us directly
Telephone (405) 358-4561 or write to hello@edmondfoundationworks.com. Give the property address, roughly when the work happened, and what is wrong. Photographs help a great deal. We acknowledge every complaint within one working day.
We look into it
Within five working days you get either a resolution or a written explanation of what we are doing and when it will be finished. That means speaking to the crew, reviewing the scope against what was installed, and comparing the opening and closing elevation readings. Where a site visit is needed, it is arranged at your convenience and there is no charge.
Remedial work
Where something was done wrongly, it is put right at our cost within thirty days, or on a longer written schedule if the work is seasonal or needs ground conditions we cannot summon on demand. You get that schedule in writing with dates on it.
If you are still not satisfied
Ask for the matter to be reviewed by someone who was not involved. That review is completed within ten working days and its outcome comes to you in writing, including the reasoning when the answer is no.
Where else you can take it
You are never obliged to go through us first. The work is performed by independent contractors under the agreement you signed with them, and you can approach them directly at any point. We chose the contractor and booked the job, so complaints about either are ours to take seriously, and when a complaint concerns the contractor's workmanship we raise it with them on your behalf and stay involved until it is closed out.
Beyond that, the Oklahoma Attorney General's Consumer Protection Unit (oag.ok.gov) accepts consumer complaints about contractors. The Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (oklahoma.gov/cib) registers and investigates several building trades, though foundation repair is not among those it regulates, so the Attorney General's office is usually the relevant route for this trade. For anything touching code compliance or inspection of permitted work, the authority that issued the permit is the right place: in Edmond that is Building and Fire Code Services, and elsewhere in the metro it is the city or county that holds jurisdiction over the address.
If any part of a structure appears close to failing, treat that as a safety matter rather than a complaint. Keep people out of that part of the building and contact a structural engineer or your building department immediately, then tell us.
